This website contains information about the V-Disc recording program, which took place from 1943 until 1949. It has been a slow process collecting this material from around the world. My hope is that you will learn something new about the musicians that preformed in this program, that was created to help increase the moral of the troops during World War II and after, as part of the Marshall Plan to provide entertainment for troops overseas.

There is also information about the "Hit Kits" and "Song Folios", sheet music programs, which provided printed copies of the music and words to many of the popular songs of this era.

Any insight or information that you would like to share can be emailed to http://www.vdiscdaddy@comcast.net.
